AKRONStudent arrestedAKRON: A Kenmore High School student is accused of wearing stolen clothes to school and then slamming a door on a police officer’s wrist during questioning.Timmy Jones, 18, was charged in Akron Municipal Court with receiving stolen property, obstructing official business and tampering with evidence.Akron police said Jones was seen wearing the stolen items during school Thursday. He is accused of fleeing from the interview room when he was questioned about the clothes. An officer’s wrist was injured in the process, police said.Jones was eventually captured and taken into custody. He was being held in the Summit County Jail.A full report on the incident was not available Friday. Man robs bankAKRON: Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank near the University of Akron during the lunch hour Friday.Tellers at the KeyBank branch at 153 E. Exchange St. told police the man claimed to be armed with a gun and a bomb when he demanded money about 12:10 p.m.The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. No one was injured.Police said the robber was a white male in his 20s, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He wore a black stocking cap, a black North Face jacket, blue sweat pants with white striping, white athletic shoes and a red scarf or jacket.Anyone with information is asked to call Akron police at 330-375-2490.
